Maryland Behavioral Health provides outpatient behavioral health services, including psychiatry, therapy, counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation programs (PRP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), medication management, and primary care. We operate multiple locations across Maryland and offer telehealth services statewide.

Text Messaging Program
Maryland Behavioral Health offers a text messaging program for patients who provide written consent during intake registration at our offices.
Program Name: Maryland Behavioral Health Patient Communications
Message Types: Appointment reminders, billing balance notifications, payment reminders, post-visit follow-up, care notifications, and patient feedback requests.
Message Frequency: Varies by message type. Appointment reminders are typically 1 to 2 messages per appointment. Billing reminders may include up to 4 messages over a 30-day period per outstanding balance. Review requests are sent once per visit.
Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Maryland Behavioral Health is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.
Opt-In: Patients opt in to text messaging by providing written consent during the intake registration process at any Maryland Behavioral Health office location. Patients may also opt in by texting START to (301) 889-9929.
Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from Maryland Behavioral Health. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent. Opting out does not affect your ability to receive care.
Help: For assistance with text messaging, reply HELP to any message or call our office at (301) 249-8100.
Carriers Supported: All major U.S. mobile carriers are supported.

Billing and Payment
Patients are responsible for any copays, deductibles, coinsurance, or balances not covered by insurance. Payment is expected at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.
We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid. For questions about billing or insurance coverage, please call (301) 249-8100.
Outstanding balances may be subject to automated billing reminder notifications via text message and email if the patient has provided consent for such communications.
