Experience:

I have close to 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including working in areas such as mental health (both individual and group therapy), substance abuse, hospice, home health long term care, insurance, and marketing.

I have experience with patient assessments, intakes, and discharges, community advocacy, complex problem solving with conflict resolution, supervision of others, effective communication skills, including written, oral, and electronic documentation skills with experience in written and electronic medical records, auditing and editing patient charts and various medical documents, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and various social media sites. I am very familiar with HIPAA rules and regulations, regulations associated with Medicaid/Medicare, and electronic medical records.

I work well independently, but I am also a great team player. I am a very detail-oriented, focused, and organized. Most of all, one of my greatest strengths is the ability to be compassionate and empathetic. To me, working in the healthcare industry in any capacity should not be just a job, but a true calling!

Personal information:  I am married and have been for 30 years.  I have 3 grown children, all boys and I have 6 grandchildren, ages 9 to 14 months old (4 boys and 2 girls).  For free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, trying new restaurants and events, going to the casino, doing abstract painting, and spending time with my kids and grandkids.
